Dr Alan Knight and Single Planet Living

Alan founded Single Planet Living in 2006 after a career of sustainable development roles within businesses and sitting on government committees. He founded Single Planet Living because he was inspired by the World Wildlife Fund’s One Planet Living concept and he wanted to marry that idea with his belief that sustainable lifestyles can be achieved if businesses and governments work together to look at sustainability through the lens of consumer products.

Since then Alan has developed complementary narratives around single planet living and his 'if products could talk' concept and in May 2011 he launched his new website, www.DrAlanKnight.com to more accurately reflect his wider thinking.

He still operates Single Planet Living Ltd as the trading arm of his consultancy and other paid services.
